Blake Vanderslice

I am a multi-sport athlete because I love to compete but above all else my primary love is Lacrosse. I am an All-American leftie who excels in both attack and midfield positions in lacrosse. I live by the belief that you create your own reality; you don’t accept reality as it exists today. I strive to create a reality distortion field, inviting others to live in the reality I envision. For me, “maximum effort” is a mental limitation because there is always more to give.

I prioritize the team first and lead by example, embodying the principle that pain is temporary but winning is forever. My mantra, “A girl can run three miles on heart alone,” fuels me when I’m tired. I remind myself to never choose breathing over winning, believing that either you conquer the mountain, or the mountain conquers you.

My dedication and hard work have been recognized through various accolades in lacrosse, including being named a season defensive MVP and playing on an undefeated season team. Additionally, I’ve been a soccer and volleyball team captain and a champion swimmer in the Meet of Champs, where I won first place in freestyle and medley relays. I’ve also been a district champion in basketball, soccer, and volleyball.

Academically, I am part of the distinguished scholars program at my high school, excelling in honors geometry, English, science, and history. I am passionate about balancing my academic achievements with my athletic pursuits, consistently striving for excellence in all areas of my life.
